What's Up in March?! | Print |

FEBRUARY RECAP

Our 2010 Winter Season is well under way at this point, the Court Volleyball Clinics and the Full TILT Fitness Boot Camp have begun their second session, and when our Ski + Snowboard Club wasn’t celebrating Mardi Gras day during one of their weekly trips to Blue Mountain, they were busy hitting the hills in beautiful Mont Ste. Anne and Le Massif during Carnival in Quebec. On top of all of this, we had our first Court Volleyball Tournament of the year on the 21st. Congratulations to the winning team; Casual Sets!

WHAT’S UP IN MARCH?!

March is a very busy time for the Ski + Snowboard Club. Right at the beginning of the month, we are taking a weekend trip to Jay Peak (Mar. 5-7) to enjoy the amazing conditions they have been hit with this year including over 114 cm of snow fall in the last week of February! On top of that, the club is celebrating St. Patty’s Day (Mar. 13) and the end of the season Retro Day (Mar. 27) during the weekly weekend trips to Blue Mountain. You can still become a member of our Ski + Snowboard Club if you want to join us for our last few trips; there are great package deals for all late comers! The 2010 Winter Indoor Season at NSP is also coming to an end for most sports right at the end of the month. A lot of tight races have developed in our leagues so it will be interesting to see which teams will be rising to the top! Remember everyone, the upcoming 2010 Spring Indoor Season is the last indoor season before we take break from the hard court. It begins on April 20th but we are only running two nights of indoor (Tuesday & Wednesday) so make sure to sign up soon in case it fills up! CLICK HERE for more details or to register now !

On Sunday, March 21st, we will be having our second Court Volleyball Tournament of the year! Our last one in February was awesome so make sure to check out this upcoming one if you are interested in playing. Tournaments are a great way to play a lot of volleyball with your team in a short period of time. These one-day tournaments can help with a team’s chemistry and can serve as a great practice tool for league play. Also, we are having our tournament at the Variety Village Sports Complex across 4 of their courts. This is a very nice volleyball facility so make sure to sign up soon if you want to play! FEBRUARY TEAM OF THE MONTH

This definitely needs to go to Six Won (Wednesday, Competitive Court Volleyball)! Six Won is the individual team for Wednesday Competitive volleyball but they are playing like they have been playing together for years. They are still undefeated in match play this season with a season record of  7-0 so far, which has them in sole possession of first place. Good luck guys come playoff time!
