Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since I sent you a message about what I've
been working on at Not So Pro! It looks like Spring is here and this
weekend looks even better with sunshine and 20 degrees! I'm looking forward to
playing this Spring and Summer and hope you are as well!
As many of you know Not So Pro has grown allot in the past few
years and we are the largest Co-ed sport and social club in the Niagara region!
We will have over 150 teams this summer and with the introduction of some new
sports I'm sure we will hit over 200 teams and 2000 players!
The First new news is we have renamed the Beach Sports
Facility at the canal as the NSP BeachBox® as this will allow us to brand new
Beach Sports and Beach Events. We will be adding Lights and some more sand
bringing the number of courts to 12 as well as 2 Beach soccer pitches and we will
also be giving the BeachBox® an overall face lift starting in April. This will
allow more sports at more time slots and create a location to hang out and
enjoy nights and weekends of sports and social. What will this mean to you and
your overall playing experience? More teams for competition, more sponsors for
those all-important give always and more playing times with the social
experience you crave outside of the office with other like minded players!
Some of the new sports for this year are Beach Soccer and
Beach Tennis! These sports are wildly popular in the States and we will be
first to offer them in Ontario and be the leader in these new Sports leagues.
We have also expanded into 2's beach volleyball and a higher level of 4's with
cash prizes as well as our new indoor spring sports leagues. We will also be
adding a few more time slots in softball as well as some of our regular sports
on new nights! Zumba, Yoga and Boot camps will also be added to get your
fitness fix! Registration is on line for all of these sports for Spring and
Summer and the NSP Beach Tour, so check it out as some divisions for Spring are

I will also be working closer with corporations for doing
events and tournaments and multi-sport challenges! Why would your company just
do a golf tourney when you could be kicking off your shoes and enjoy the music
and play at the Beach in a Box!, the NSP BeachBox®! We will also be working
with your companies to get your Boss to realize the value of a happy healthy
employee with many after work sports will create a healthy company! Maybe
they will pay your team fees and get a receipt and certificate for
"company wellness" from NSP! Tell them about us, you won’t know
unless you ask!
"Beach Kidz" is another area we will be focusing
on this year. Kids need more sports especially inner City kids as well as after
school programs and Beach Kidz Camps! We are happy to be working again this
year with many local schools and [The RAFT](http://www.theraft.ca/)
to involve kids from all social and economic backgrounds with exercise and
learning programs! We will also be hosting the Rankin Cancer Tournament on July
28th as there are many people and kids in the Niagara area suffering from
Cancer and we are happy and honoured to be involved with this event! If you are
a teacher or know kids that may want to be "Beach Kidz" this summer
let us know and if you can help to spread the word or volunteer then let’s make
it happen!!
I look forward to seeing you soon as I will be playing more
sports this Spring and Summer and I will be very present on other sports nights
as well! I'm sure this will be the best summer yet!
